Värmland

Värmland is a province in the Svealand region in Sweden, it borders Norway in the west and Sweden's largest lake, Vänern.

You can start you tour in the area by getting around Klarälvsbanan. A very good and level bike path to the north from Karlstad, spreading in big length along the river. Among the activities you can experience a safari in the area where you probably may encounter beavers, moose or even wolves. Alternatively, you can go for some rafting on the river Klarälven, which is one of the best ways to explore the countryside.If you want to try some traditional regional cuisine, try the typical moose meat (älgkött) which is considered to be a regional specialty.
