An apricot smell, a sound of du[duk]( and a taste of cognac… clear water, fresh air and pure nature…mountains and gorges all around and love in the air…make a journey through millennia, travel to Armenia, a country of the sun, where three million hospitable citizens are happy to open their doors to anyone willing to explore their country.

The combination of old and new makes this country an attractive destination for travelers. Armenia’s history dates back to BC 2492. Currently it covers only 10% of the territory of the ancient “Greater Armenia”. It is the first country that has adopted Christianity as a state religion in 301 a.d. The capital Yerevan is 2799 years old, but yes, it’s still young and full of energy.

If you visit Armenia, this country will make you fly through time: On one hand you’ll get back to 301 a.d. and you will see all the churches and monuments that the people living here have inherited from the depths of centuries. On the other hand, you’ll get a chance to see the modern side of the country, getting from one mountain to another on the longest ropeway in the world and soaring over deep gorges on the longest zip-lines.

While winter sports lovers make their way to the city Tsaghkadzor, that has a lot to offer both to professionals and to beginners, others are planning their trips to Armenia in spring, summer or autumn that are not less interesting. Being a mountainous country, with pure nature and clean water, Armenia always attracts people who are looking for hiking, camping or paragliding destinations.

While you are discovering museums and galleries during the day, the nightlife in the capital is getting ready to make your stay more interesting. You may find countless wine houses, pubs, cafes, and restaurants full of locals, tourists and expats. You may feel safe both day and night, because Armenia is among the safest countries in the world according to the Crime Index for Country compiled by Numbeo.

In the end we will raise a “see you soon” toast hoping that unforgettable memories and impressions you take from your journey through millennia will bring you back to Armenia.
