Adventurers and explorers, get ready! If you are hungry for a fresh place and have adrenaline rush just by thinking of conquering wild nature, rest assured that the south of Serbia will be an epicenter of fun this summer. The Adventure Outdoor Festival Jerma in Serbia is organized by a group of nature lovers and never settling souls and will be held at the peak of the summer in August.
The special nature reserve “Jerma” is located in southeastern Serbia, following the canyon of the 72 kilometers long river Jerma. The river springs in Serbia, crosses the border with Bulgaria, and then swirls back to Serbia, creating an imposing landscape. The reserve comprises of a unique complex of valleys, ravines, and sharp rocks and homes many endemic and protected species of animals and plants. Even during a short visit, it gives the feeling that humans are just guests here. Jerma Outdoor Festival creates an opportunity to conquer this wild land in the sense that the visitors become involved in it. They are not just spectators anymore.

The festival basis and camp is located in the elementary school of the small village Trnski Odorovci.
The main idea behind the adventure festival is to promote nature and outdoor activities while awakening the adventure spirit in the unique natural setting. From hiking to mountain biking, to rock climbing, to ecological and yoga workshops, every nature lover can find a treat for its soul.

Those more experienced can join the ultra trail, slackline, or enjoy in the ridge hiking, or advanced rock climbing on the natural rocks. The possibilities are literally endless! Doesn't that alone excite you already?
Although the festival itself lasts five days, the extended vacation in this area can bring many more opportunities for exploration and adventure. To start with, remember the nearby [Mt. Stara Planina](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/Whether you are coming from Belgrade, Nis or Novi Sad, the first pin on your trip should be the town of Pirot. From Pirot there are three buses every day operating to the village of Trnski Odorovci. The ride itself brings the hype as you will pass through the some of the most attractive parts of the canyon just to reach the location. Dangerous and delightful, the Adventure Outdoor Festival Jerma start before you get there - the trip to the place is the part of the adventure too!) and all of its waterfalls. Even though some activities of the festival take part here, there is just so much to discover in between its mountain tops and valleys, that five days just won’t be enough. The nearby canyon of Rosomaca makes for a great stop as well, where you can enjoy the Rosomaca stream or even walk its attractive canyon.
