Let's face it, the best time to plan your summer holidays is probably in late autumn. Since Christmas is coming, some of the best presents would be the ones including tickets to some amazing beaches! As Mariah Carey never said, (she should have though!) "all I want for Christmas is a ticket to Turkey's most amazing beaches" . So, let's explore the breathtaking beaches of Turkey and hope for our name to be in the "Good" Santa's list!

Datça is close to Marmaris and functions as a "bridge" between the Aegean and the Mediterranean Sea. With its almond trees, its extremely tasty honey and the ancient city of Knidos, Datça is one of the must-visit places of Turkey. This city is where you can also find the famous "Naked Aphrodite", chipped by Praksiteles of Athens! But now, let's talk about its amazing beach, the Ovabükü Beach! The best time to visit it is after summer, at the beginning of autumn. If you want to get mesmerised by the amazing almond flowers, you should plan your visit there after February.  With its 600 meters long beach, its cute restaurants and its amazing nature, Ovabükü Beach is waiting for you to discover!

Marmaris is one of the biggest port cities and tourist resorts on the Mediterranean coast. Very close to Bodrum, it's definitely recommended for a visit during summer. With its busy nightlife,  its bars and restaurants, as well as its plenty shopping facilities, this place will satisfy you both during the day and the night. Let's not forget about its amazing beaches! The most popular beach in here is the İçmeler Beach . In this beach, you can enjoy the luxurious resorts, the amazing view of the hills, the view of the little islands and the variety of cruises offered daily!

When you first hear "Antalya", the Konyaaltı Beach instantly comes to mind. With its 1,5 km long beach, it is always full of people! The beach has no sand but pebbles, so it might not be very suitable for kids. However, its turquoise waters are no doubt mesmerising. Here you can also paraglide and enjoy many water sports.

When it comes to sports, as mentioned, then the Fethiye, Ölüdeniz is the place to be! The world famous beach, Ölüdeniz is known for its shades of turquoise and aquamarine, while its beach is an officially awarded "Blue Flag beach". In addition, it's a national nature reserve, where construction of any kind is strictly prohibited. After enjoying the mesmerising sea, you can do paragliding while admiring its unique panoramic views, go scuba diving or even run a marathon on the historical Lycian Way!

If you are looking for a more luxurious experience, you should visit the Lara Beach. Located in the city center, this beach is 2 km long and its sand is said to be very beneficial to the ones with rheumatism problems!

This ancient port of Phellus, known today as Kas, is much more than just a holiday destination in the Turkey's turquoise Coast. An ancient legend has it that there were two giants madly in love with each other, living in two neighboring islands, Phellus and Megisti (known as Kastellorizo today) - the only time they could meet was when the tides brought those two islands together. This laid back and calm Mediterranean town started to become quite popular in the recent years, even though its location is slightly remote. It takes up to 4 hours from Antalya and 3 hours from Dalaman to get to this ancient city. Kas welcomes you with every tone of blue and green, flowers in every balcony and smiles in everyone's faces. If you are looking for a virgin beach, then the Kaputaş beach is a match made in heaven! Just bring your umbrella, towel and a sandwich and enjoy a perfect day in Kaputaş Beach!

Another gorgeous beach in Kaş is the Patara Beach! If you want to swim with cute Caretta carettas, there is no better place to be! This beach also hosts the Apollo temple which makes the view   absolutely breathtaking!

Alanya is a beach resort city which is located in Antalya, on the southern coast of Turkey. With its amazing Mediterranean climate, gorgeous natural attractions, and historic heritage, Alanya is one of the most visited cities in Turkey. Due to its beauty, this place hosted many civilizations too. But most importantly, Alanya's coastline is just breathtaking. If you want to visit the sea in which Cleopatra and her lover Marc Antonius swam, you have to definitely check out the Kleopatra Beach! The water is so clear that you can see every fish from the outside, while there. And I have to tell you, the sunset in here is otherworldly magic.
