With over 1 billion users, Instagram is the most popular social media platform to share pictures. Never before has a platform impacted in so many different aspects of our daily life; we use it as travel inspiration, information guidance, styling advice and for sharing our daily routines. With the rise of the platform, many started choosing their travel destinations based on the amount of “instagrammable” spots. Italy offers so many more photogenic places rather than just the Colosseum, Venice and Positano. Step up your "Italy Instagram game" with rather unique shots from the southern-Italian region of Apulia! 😊

1. Alberobello

The cute Trulli town is the perfect place for sparkling wanderlust. The uniqueness and charm of the small houses, turn it into a bucket-list destination for many of your followers.

2. Polignano a Mare

The small town is one of the most picturesque destinations in the southern-Italian region. Next to the amazing cliff houses and the beautiful city beach, the cave restaurant “Grotta Palazzese” is a jaw-droppingly beautiful photo spot. The beauty of any creative process is that it may inspire others: the local Italian artist, Antonella Lozito, lately painted one of my photographs in Polignano a Mare, saying it inspired her to recreate it with watercolors on paper. Look at the amazing outcome:

3. Grotta della Poesia

The beautiful natural pool is among the most beautiful ones in the entire world due to its visibility and promotion in National Geographic. Visit it before 9 in the morning to capture this natural wonder, all by yourself. If you have a drone, this is the perfect spot for impressive bird view photography shots

4. Lecce

Basically, the entire historical center of this baroque sandstone town offers an endless amount of Instagram spots. Narrow streets with balconies and impressive, imposing **architecture **are everywhere in Lecce's center. One of the most photogenic spots though, especially when the oleander is blooming, is probably in front of the ancient city gate, Porta Napoli.

5. Locorotondo

The small town, situated close to Alberobello, has one of the most charming historical centers in Apulia. While there are not so many major sights, the entire maze of white narrow streets offers perfect opportunities for dreamy pictures. The town is particularly special around Christmas time. Beautiful decorations all over the town turn Locorotondo seemingly into Santa’s village.

6. Monopoli

Monopoli has not just a noteworthy name, but also many **photogenic spots **across the entire town. Typical charming streets full of plants, an impressive city cathedral, a beautiful old port and a sea promenade with a viewing point, guarantee unique and colorful shots!
