Have a drink with the best view of Budapest (Part I)

"Rooftop bar" has become a fashionable expression and sort of a custom nowadays. So, if you go to a foreign city, be sure to search for these places with the best view of that specific place, where you can eat and drink, like at the best brunch places in Budapest. The point is to enjoy the unusual city panorama in a pleasant outdoor setting. Rooftop terraces are fortunately not only popular, but the selection is quite varied. The rooftop experience ranges from being on the top of a luxurious hotel to upstairs bars in the center of the party district, but there is also a completely unobtrusive alternative, that is more like a bigger terrace than a bar, where anyone can drop by. In my opinion, the following places are worth a visit, if you would like to have a drink with the best view of Budapest.

360 bar

Actually, this is my personal favourite. There is no doubt that everyone will find their mouth open when they see the wonderful panorama. We go to the elevator, the door opens on the top floor of the former "Paris department store", and a few minutes will be needed until we digest the beautiful landscape with the cloudy domes of Budapest. The food here is really great, the drinks are cool, and the staff is nice. They also organize yoga classes, concerts, but in the winter everything changes: igloos with heating are built. The only drawback in summer is that it's a little bit windy up there. Still, I’m sure, if you visit 360 bar, that won’t disturb you.

St. Andrea Wine and Skybar

We couldn’t wait for the spring opening of St. Andrea's luxurious terrace, which is located at Vörösmarty Square. The imposing building that houses the skybar is considered to be part of the World Heritage Site - j[ust like Hortobágyi Nemzeti Park](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/romance-of-the-countryside-as-a-world-heritage-site-nxbr). Two different panoramas are offered. One looks at the Basilica where the world-famous Hungarian footballer got buried and the Budapest Eye, while from the other, you can see the Citadel and the Gellért Hill. Thanks to the shaping of St. Andrea Wine & Skybar, it is open all year long, since the two open-air parts can be completely roofed.

Gozsdu Sky Bar

Gozsdu Sky Bar is situated in the c[ity center of Budapest](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/varosliget-the-charming-park-in-the-middle-of-budapest-n7v6), at the top of G[ozsdu Courtyard](https://www.livetheworld.com/post/the-arcade-of-budapest-s-essence-gozsdu-courtyard-xbos), on the 6th floor. The unique location of the terrace is a special attraction for both Hungarian and foreign visitors. This special place similarly has a pretty view to offer. On one side, there is the Citadel of Buda, but the other one also has a wonderful view towards the peak of the Basilica and the bustling part of Budapest. With a wide range of drinks and varied snacks, from Thursday to Saturday, the Gozsdu Sky Bar is a good choice both for smaller and larger companies.
