Herceg Novi

Herceg Novi is a region and a municipality of Montenegro. It’s a region located in the south western part of the country, with a wide access to the Adriatic sea and the Bay of Kotor.

Herceg Novi is a coastal town in Montenegro, located at the foot of Mount Orjen. The Herceg Novi’s old town is one of the most remarkable places in the entire country. It is on a fairly steep hill that goes all the way down to the sea. The Kanli Kula fortress dominating the old town doubles as an open-air theatre and offers a splendid view of the town and the Kotor bay. One of the most known monasteries of the region is a few kilometers far from Herceg Novi, and it is called Savina monastery. You can also very easily go around the bay or the mountain for some nice treks, without forgetting the Tara canyon or the Tara river for some rafting or biking.
