After Christmas, Easter is probably the second favorite part of the year for every child in Paris. Not only this is the time of school vacations, but it is also a moment when chocolate bunnies, chickens and eggs suddenly start growing everywhere in nature. Many places in Paris organize the Easter egg hunt - from museums, parks, markets, aquariums, zoos, bakeries and shops. But the biggest and most famous one is the traditional Easter egg hunt in the André Citroën Park, where some 40.000 Eastern eggs are waiting to be found. Children just love it, and if you are visiting Paris for the Easter holidays, you should not miss it under any circumstances.

Hunting license

The traditional Easter egg hunt in the André Citroën Park is organized every year by the Secours Populaire Français, the French Popular Relief, a charitable organisation created in November 1945 to fight poverty and discrimination. During two days of this giant egg hunt, children from the age of 3 to 12 will need a **hunting license **that you can get at the park. After that, hunting can begin! Children are looking for the right color combination of eggs hidden all over the André Citroën Park, which will give them the right to win a real chocolate egg. After hunting, the youngsters can participate in many other activities in the park, such as gardening, coloring and stencils workshop animated by street artists. This **Easter egg hunt **is also a great moment to teach children the values of solidarity, as money from every hunting license will be used for food for those who need it most.

André Citroen park

The André Citroën Park, where every **Easter **a giant egg hunt is organized, is a magical, futuristic green space in Paris. This park, opened in 1992, is situated on the site of a former Citroën automobile factory. After this factory was abandoned and demolishes, the Parisian authorities decided to transform it into an incredible natural site. Today, this is the place where you can enjoy many great **outdoor activities, **from laying and daydreaming on a lawn in the shade of exotic trees, visiting magnificent greenhouse pavilions or just have a relaxed walk and look for some rare plants. But, The André Citroën Park is also a place that children love the most. Its playground is equipped with Ping-Pong tables, toboggans, and there is even the Balloon Generali. Installed in 1999 to celebrate the new Millennium, this helium balloon is a perfectly fun way to see Paris from the sky.
