1. Alessandro Palace & Bar
Most people arrive to Rome either by the airport or by train at the Termini Station. Now, if you have tons of luggage and don’t want to carry that throughout the Eternal City in search of your place to say, Alessandro Palace & Bar makes that super convenient. All you have to do is exit the train station and simply walk five minutes to check-in! Viola, bags dropped off, and then you’re ready to explore any part of the city since Rome’s mass public transportation is all within reach too. If you haven’t been yet, Trastevere is known for its excellent restaurants (wide-range of budget, including very cheap yet high-quality Italian ones!) and nightlife. Trust me, this is an awesome neighbourhood to not only go out in, but to stay in. Here’s the kick about B&B Hotel Roma Trastevere: if you are a couple, or two people who’s alright with sharing a room - it would then be cheaper to stay here than to individually book two beds in one hostel room. This way you get the privacy, private bathroom, and really great area of Rome, for the same price.

So if you want to switch it up from staying near the Termini Station, this is a great spot to just walk out the door and have the whole city right in front of you! Now, Hotel Mosaic Central Rome is quite budget-friendly if you are travelling as two to three people who can share a room (that includes single beds in one room). As with this tactic, the price comes out to the same as booking a hostel bed individually for two people (and way cheaper than staying in a private room in a hostel).

If you have a car, and you’re on a road trip around Italy, parking at hu Roma Camping In Town and staying at this campsite is a creative way to save on a lot of money and amenities. Then it's easy for you to drive right into town, as it's only a 15-minute drive to Vatican City from here. Families love staying here as there's a seasonal outdoor pool, hotel and poolside bar for the parents. You don’t have to worry about the parking as it’s free with your stay! If you don't want to take the car into the city, then the Cornelia Metro Station on line A is just a short bus ride away, giving you more options to explore Rome.
