In Paris, you can take your children to museums specially created for them, to the magical parks, fun and educational galleries or even make them fall in love with cinema. In this "Paris with kids" guide, let us do some experiments, feed animals and make some art. Firstly, I am taking you to the Cité des enfants, a unique space for children from 2 to 7 years old, where they can experiment and explore. Then, we are going to The Ferme de Paris, a pedagogical farm and to the incredible art and cultural centre Centquatre-104, a place where families can spend some quality time together. The City of Light has everything to make your child's visit enchanting.

Cité des enfants

The Cité des enfants is a unique space for children from 2 to 7 years old located in the Parc de la Villette, inside the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie. Here, they can experiment and explore, as well as do a lot of fun and educational activities. They are divided into five sections: I discover myself, I can do, I locate myself, I experiment and All together. All those activities will help them to develop their physical, cognitive and spatial skills and learn how to open to the world and others. Your children will test their flexibility and senses, watch themselves in the mirrors, listen to their emotions, play with the balance, sounds and letters, explore the pathways and mazes, and play and experiment with physical phenomena such as water, air and light. All the children will work together. They will build houses or participate in a collective performance of a circus act. The Cité des Enfants is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm.

Ferme de Paris

Located in the heart of the Bois de Vincennes, the Ferme de Paris is a unique pedagogical farm managed according to the practices of organic farming. Children and adults can discover the pleasure of life on the farm and even participate in the daily life of the farm. Many activities are organized according to the seasons, such as sheep shearing, harvesting, animals feeding, etc. I am sure your child will be more than happy to see and feed some domestic animals like goats, sheep, pigs, geese, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, etc. The Ferme de Paris is open on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, and the entrance is free.

Green House

So far, in this Paris with kids guide, I* gave you a few tips and ideas where your children can do some experiments and feed animals. To cloture this guide, let us do some art.  I am taking you inside the  Centquatre-104, a cultural and art** place where you can find the most original space - The Green House*. Inspired by Françoise Dolto, a famous French pediatrician and psychoanalyst, the Green house (la Maison Verte) is an artistic place welcoming the families. It’s a peaceful area, filled with art, where children and parents are encouraged to discover through games their creative capabilities and a new way of being together. It is the perfect place where children and parents can play together, read, paint, draw, dream and exchange. The Green House is specially designed for children from their birth to 5 years old. The house is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 2:30 pm to 6 pm. The entrance is free.
