Wild and beautiful - that's Mljet in two words. Beautiful wild landscapes and few settlements with less than 1500 people (but in summertime, that number is hundred times bigger). When in Mljet,** you can't miss visiting its two lakes, wild beaches, caves and tasting typical Mljet food. One-third **of this island's surface is a home of one of 8 Croatian national parks. Welcome to this blue-green paradise.

Mljet is located in the southern part of Croatian Adriatic coast,** and it belongs to the Dubrovnik-Neretva county. It is also the easternmost and southernmost island of Croatia. This sunny, blue and green island should be a must-visit destination while you are visiting Dubrovnik or Split Game of Thrones filming locations. Additionally, Mljet **is approachable from all Croatian Adriatic neighbors: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Montenegro, and Italy.

Just imagine, after swimming in the crystal-clear blue lake of Mljet you cross a little hill and you are on the open sea with few small islands in front of you. Magical! Mljet doesn't have many hotels, hostels, parties, and restaurants. This is the place where one can find its a peace. Wild but quite, Mljet is a great destination for even better vacation. Here, you will rest, you and all your senses.

Odisejeva špilja - Odysseus cave

The legend has it that Odyssey spent seven years on the island of Mljet and a beautiful blue cave got the name after this ancient hero.** Whether that's true or not, you will wish to spend seven more years on this beautiful island. Odysseus cave is located on the west side of the island, and it's very close to Babino Polje, the biggest Mljet settlement. Odysseus cave is approachable by boat or ship from the south-west or north-east part of the island. The biggest attraction is the cliff jumping and the scuba diving**. The magical blue color of the cave will definitely leave you breathless.

Mljet underwater is colorful and quiet just like its surface. For all scuba diving enthusiasts, Mljet is the right place. It can easily be the best diving destination in the whole Adriatic, according to many experienced divers. Its surface is just a personification of its beautiful underworld. Excellent water, actually, crystal-clear water, colorful species living under the water and smooth sun-rays will welcome you down there, while the warm water on the surface will wait for you above.

Mljet, wild and beautiful Island is easily reachable by all modern water means of transportation: boats, catamarans or ferries from Dubrovnik, Split and peninsula Pelješac, that run every day during the summer season.
