With the first part of the story about the date night ideas and the most lovely restaurants in Vilnius, I recommended you some Lithuanian, Portuguese and Spanish cuisnes. This time all the glory and attention* is reserved for the desserts lovers.** From the oldest times, the desserts took an important place. From the simplest ones like an apple pie or a pie with curd, Lithuanian desserts culture now is more oriented towards the French or Italian* cuisines. So, here, I will spoil you with a choice of places where you can find modern European style desserts and places with the most traditional desserts like the homemade pies and cakes. Let’s make the date night more sweet and romantic with the lovely restaurants with the best deserts in Vilnius.

Sugamour

Sugamour is a heaven for all sweets lovers. Starting from the design of the restaurant, which is incredibly modern and stylish, and ending with the pieces of happiness in your mouth. Everything in this restaurant is very tasteful. Besides plenty of desserts, the restaurant also offers a late breakfast, brunch and dinner menu. Also, the place is trendy among locals for some special occasions.

Pinavija Cafe & Bakery

Oh, my, this cozy, small and a lovely spot is exactly like your grandma’s kitchen with a smell of just-baked apple pie. Located in a busy and full of restaurants Vilnius street, the Pinavija Cafe & Bakery is just the lovely spot for your date. Also, the cafe is offering traditional Lithuanian desserts from the 20th century with local and natural ingredients. So, it is a delightful opportunity to see what kind of desserts Lithuanians were eating at that time.

Liu Patty

Our next destination is one more cozy and full of tasty desserts place. Located in the heart of the Užupis district, the Liu Patty has a sweet and lovely atmosphere and only one table outside. So, that means, the particular date for you.

Atostogos

Atostogos is a Lithuanian word which means “Holidays”. That lovely word perfectly suits the atmosphere of this small restaurant. Atostogos is famous for its late breakfast menu that people are booking the places in advance. And of course, they have good coffee too.

Pilies Kepyklėlė

And for the end - a place with a design of the medieval times - Pilies Kepyklėlė (The bakery of the castle). With the most popular cakes in town “Cheery” and “Royal.” Definitely worth trying. A small bakery is located in the Pilies street, which is always crowded by tourists and souvenirs shops. But that bakery locals love as well, and the prices there are reasonable. During the summer, when the terrace is open, you can make a lovely date with a picturesque view of the surroundings of the Pilies street.

From all those sweetness you will lose your head. That is what we, Lithuanians, like to say when there is too much of sugar or too many of choices. I think that there are almost never too many sweet things in your life, and about the choices, well, for the date night I guess it’s clear - you make your choice.
