Admission to Walsingham Abbey Grounds is at The Shirehall, Walsingham’s original Georgian courtroom. The Shirehall Museum is a 16C building, first built as a hostel for important pilgrims to the Priory. In the 1770s it became Walsingham’s courthouse with the original panelled Courtroom in use until 1971.

The Priory ruins include the great East Window of the church, known as the Arch, which stands in splendid isolation in the main lawn.
