Ventura Wildlife's Zoological Gardens is a unique interactive small zoo owned and operated by Ventura Wildlife an organisation dedicate to adventure, conservation and education. Ventura Wildlife's Zoological Gardens is conveniently located just 20 minutes north of London within the Van Hage Garden Centre Complex in Great Amwell near Ware, Hertfordshire. The zoo is home to a variety of wild animals including zebra, emu, wallaby, kangaroo, reindeer, lorikeets, lemurs, as well as Madagascar's largest carnivore, the fossa, and the UK's only Cuban Hutia. Our aim is to allow guests of all ages and abilities to discover more about wildlife in an safe and interactive way. Guests can get closer to the animals through our free daily activities which include interactive animal feeds, talks and animal encounters. Our range of animal experiences are perfect for those looking to get behind the scenes. Groups are always welcome and our indoor education and conference centre, The Explorers Lodge, is the perfect setting for educational visits.
