About The Brownlow
The Brownlow was built by Lord Brownlow at the time of the construction of the Grand Union Canal in the late 18th century. For many years it was run as a public house and the horses that pulled the barges were rested in the stables whilst their owners refreshed themselves with real ales!
The pub closed down in the 1960’s and the stables were later converted into the 5 en-suite rooms that you can stay in now.
The rooms and breakfast room are non-smoking areas. Thank you in advance for respecting this.Contact Us
