Built in 1904, the once glorious Kings Theatre brought people far and wide to Kirkcaldy. Known most recently as the old ABC cinema, this beautiful building saw a century of service until its doors closed in 2000.
Residents and visitors of Kirkcaldy walk past this building in the high street day after day, sometimes without realising. Many won’t be aware of its prestigious history, or listed status - and it’s no surprise: tragically, since it closed, it fell into neglect and has reached a state of severe dilapidation.
This is all about to change.
