Haltwhistle Golf Club enjoys magnificent views of the South Tyne Valley and is probably, the most scenic and historically interesting course in Britain. It is the only golf club on both Hadrian's Wall footpath and the Pennine Way. The course offers excellent views; East to Haltwhistle and beyond; North to Spadeadam and West to Gilsland and Brampton.
The area is steeped in history, with Thirlwall Castle on the doorstep, the remains of Hadrian's Wall crossing the golf course and where tales of the Romans and Border Reivers abound. Spadeadam was noted for the development of the Blue Streak missile.
The small town of Haltwhistle is close by with its many amenities and boasts the title of the "Centre of Britain"
