Place de Barcelone

The square of Barcelona is a square in the center of the city of Tunis, the capital of Tunisia. LocationThe square is surrounded by the streets of Belgium and Ali-Darghouth. The streets that converge on the square are the streets of Holland, Kufa, Greece, Ali-Darghouth, England, Spain, and Farhat-Hached Avenue.It is located near the embassies of France, from Italy and the Mongi-Bali Square.TransportationIt is home to an important urban transport hub, with the Tunis light rail, many bus lines, the Tunis station run by the Tunisian National Railway Company and a garden public. In 2011, it is the place of several events. In 2008, the central director of major projects of the Tunis Transport Company (Transtu) announces that it will launch a redevelopment project with an overall value of 27.3 million of dinars. It must create an underground bus station, the whole of the square being then dedicated to the metro; an improvement in the traffic on the streets and avenues nearby is also expected.
