Chikly

Chikly is a small island in Lake Tunis. The island is home to Fort Santiago Chikly which was built as a Roman fort. It was later rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. The fort on the island is currently undergoing excavation where Roman and Byzantine mosaics have been found. Picture © Credits to Wikimedia Commons/Citizen59
