Switzerland is known for its mountains (Alps in the south, Jura in the northwest) but it also has a central plateau of rolling hills, plains, and large lakes. Switzerland is renowned over the world for downhill skiing, and the country is also great for many other outdoor activities, including hiking and mountain biking. Mountain climbing, from easy to very hard, can also be found in Switzerland, and there is hardly another place with a longer tradition for this. Some routes, like the North face of the Eiger, have become near-mythical due to the hardships, sacrifice and even deaths suffered by the first people to climb them. And because of the breathtaking views, travelling from one place to another by car, bus, train or bike along alpine roads and railroads is often an experience in itself.

Switzerland

Lausanne is the main city of the canton. The south east of the canton is very mountainous, with highest peak the Diablerets massif. The canton is home to several popular skiing destinations such as the Villars, Les Diablerets and Leysin. There are many places of interest such as the castle of Chillon, the GoldenPass Line, the Olympic museum, the Léman Lake, the cathedral of Lausanne and the Palace of the Rumine, that await every tousist to be explored.

Vaud

Situation: Our old farm dating from the eighteenth century is located above the village of the Orient (Township of Chenit, Vallée de Joux) 1.1 km from the main road. Dominant, without vis-à-vis, in all peace of mind away from the noises of traffic.

Upon entering this house full of character, authenticity and simplicity, 3 bedrooms await you on the 1st floor (2 doubles and 1 to 4 beds) with washbasin and wc to share. A shower is available on the ground floor.

The breakfast (bread, butter, jam, honey, cheese, yoghurt, apple juice) is prepared in the garden in good weather or stay or kitchen table community.
