The cities of Mérida and Cáceres, ideal stopping-off points in the midst of an ecosystem of nature parks, offer archaeological and historical sites, respectively, of great richness.

Extremadura

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist of Badajoz is a Roman Catholic cathedral church in Badajoz, Extremadura. Since 1994, together with the Co-cathedral of Saint Mary Major of Mérida, it is the seat of the Archdiocese of Mérida-Badajoz. It was declared a Historical and Artistic Monument in 1931.
