A Baña

As such, the country is blessed with a fantastic collection of historical landmarks. The Spanish are very passionate about their cuisine, based on great food and wine. Spanish food can be described as quite light with a lot of vegetables and a huge variety of meat and fish.

Despite its isolation, it quickly entered history when the Romans discovered its mineral-rich lands. It has been able to preserve a strong identity that is reflected first and foremost in its own language – Galician. This remote zone has had no choice but to turn to the ocean early on, and the influence of the sea is reflected in its economy, focused on fishing, in the typical fishing villages that adorn its coasts, and on a cuisine rich in prawns and scallops.

Casa Rural O Folgo, is located in a small village called Oroeste, belonging to the municipal term of A Baña, bordering town council with Santiago de Compostela, and very close to the last and most beautiful stage of the Santiago-Fisterra stage.

In the Area where we are located, we enjoy a landscape charm that compose the great forests as well as the precious rivers that surround us.

The house has 7 double rooms, each with its own bathroom and hydromassage cabin or shower (depending on the room), a large living room, a cozy reading room, a large dining room, as well as a large fully enclosed farmhouse topped by a beautiful recently restored horreo. Each room is dedicated and decorated in the old trades most popular in the area where we are.

Its location, just a few minutes from the Galician capital, and its good communication by road, will allow you to visit any point of the Galician geography in a reduced space of time.
