Explore the enchanting vineyard pathways through the Jeruzalem wine route.

This route takes you on an outdoor journey through the picturesque town of Jeruzalem, ending in the village of Sventinje. You’ll pass along rolling fields, widespread enchanting meadows and little thatched roof cottages by the woods - sights that are the settings of folk fables coming to life.

Starting off in Jeruzalem, you’ll see the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows. This religious kirk is what the town is built around, and unmissable since it’s surrounded by the wavy slope ripples of vineyards on all sides. Then you’ll eventually arrive at a 300-year-old cellar, called the Malek building. The flowing vines hanging off of the cottage’s roof are darn whimsical, and inside the red brick cellar adds to the ambience.

The Jeruzalem wine route only takes about 2.5 hours one way, for a casual easy hike at 8 kilometres. Ending in Sventinje, it’s easy to feel that you’re in a castaway fantasy land, with the sloping vineyards and spiral church that pierces the horizon.
