Residing in Triglav National Park is where the protected area got its name from - Mount Triglav.

As the tallest mountain in Slovenia, with the highest peak at 2,864 metres above sea level, Mount Triglav is an impressive sight that can be seen from afar.

For those wanting to conquer the peaks themselves, the pyramid shape summit of Mount Triglav is possible to climb. The ascent has some steep sections, but the climb overall is considered intermediate level. It usually takes two whole days for people to climb Mount Triglav.

The first day takes about 6 to 8 hours of hiking, then you will summit on the second day followed by a 6 to 8-hour descent.
