**This museum shares the history of the Yugoslavian military with many artefacts from different wars and resistances. **

The Military History Park in Pivka is a museum that opened in 2006 hosting exhibitions mainly from between World War II and the Cold War. Different arms, submarines, and aircrafts make up the impressive collection of predominantly the Yugoslavian military.

The fascinating museum tells the stories of different wars that the military was involved in, and is especially interesting to hear some of the under the radar Slovenian stories from these time periods.

It’s possible to book a guided tour to the submarine in advance, which is a favourite among the museum's visitors, as the experts explain the living conditions on one of these submarines and their wartime purpose.
