The real garden of Eden is right here in Slovenia.
Nestled in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps is the nourishing nature of Logar Valley. Also known by the locals as Logarska dolina, this Alpine glacial valley is a protected area where one can do multiple activities from cycling, electric biking, and horseback riding to hiking the multiple available trails.
There are plenty of waterfalls within the Logar Valley, making the area worth a day or two to explore. The 90-metre Rinka Falls is an easy walk, as well as the Palenk Falls. The simplest way to see the highlights of the Logar Valley is by walking the themed, natural-ethnographic trail aptly named the “Logar Valley trail”.
It’s an undemanding marked trail that is 7 kilometres long one way. There, you’ll get to see traditional cottages, the century-old Logar linden tree, and riverbeds and eventually make your way to the waterfalls.
