The manor house in Betliari is the only mansion in Slovakia, which after 1945 preserved with its original equipment and collections. It was truly a luxury residence that was built for the purpose of representing its owners. On the site of an older smaller Renaissance mansion, a residence was built in the years 1881-86 behind the Count Emanuel I. Andrássy (1821-1891), which he used mainly as a hunting lodge and museum for his rich collection. Emanuel's son, Count Gejza I (1856-1938), modernized the mansion in the beginning of the 20th century (about 1905), creating a truly luxurious residence with electric lighting, central heating, 16 bathrooms, a beautiful library and numerous comfortable apartments. was also a social elite, participating in poor betrayal hunters.

The chateau in Betliar is the only one of its kind in Slovakia, which was preserved with its original furnishings and collections after 1945. Count Emanuel I Andrássy (1821-1891) built this residence from 1881 to 1886 on the site of an older Renaissance chateau. It was used during hunting events and as a museum for its abundant collection. Emanuel's son, Count Géza I (1856-1938), had the chateau modernized at the beginning of the 20th century (around 1905) and transformed it into a truly luxurious residence with electric lighting, a central heating system, 16 bathrooms, a splendid library and many cozy suites, where, in addition to his family, the social elite who regularly participated in legendary hunting events in Betliar also stayed.
