Slovenské banské múzeum Banská Štiavnica

In Banská Štiavnica there is an institution in the area of ​​the Ministry of the Environment - SLOVAK BANK MUSEUM (SBM) - a specialized organization with a national competence aiming at conscientious gathering, protection, scientific and professional documentation of mining, mining, mineralogy, geology, mineral protection, mining development towns and areas in Slovakia, especially Banská Štiavnica as a World Heritage Site and Štiavnické vrchy Protected Landscape Area. The museum includes seven exhibitions focusing on the presentation of mining and its history in this area and Slovakia, the geology and mineral resources of Slovakia, the history of the city, archeology, architecture, fine arts associated with Banská Štiavnica and mining activities.
