Novi Sad

Serbia numbers around 7 million residents. Its capital, Belgrade, ranks among the oldest and largest cities in Southeastern Europe. The Pannonian Plain covers the northern third of the country (Vojvodina and Mačva) while the easternmost tip of Serbia extends into the Wallachian Plain. Serbia's many sights include stunning castles, Medieval monasteries, lovely traditional villages and bustling cities with baroque parks and art-deco architecture. Largest national park in the country is Đerdap in the eastern part of the country, on the border with Romania. It consists of the Djerdap gorge thru which the river Danube runs and its beautiful surroundings of almost untouched nature.

Combining the European Baroque with the Byzantine traditions of the Balkans, these churches have a cultural importance as a bridge between the Southern and the Northern Serbs.

Vojvodina

For the third year in a row, Novi Sad organizes a lively Christmas market to rejoice Novi Sad people, tourists and guests at the Trg Slobode. During the festival people can enjoy the performances of Novi Sad bands and DJs, in the frame of the "scattered firs" featuring mainly children and local music compositions, and they also could to attend various exhibitions while navigating the city center. There are various stands with food, sweets, drinks and gifts available at the main square.
