Belgrade

Serbia numbers around 7 million residents. Its capital, Belgrade, ranks among the oldest and largest cities in Southeastern Europe. The Pannonian Plain covers the northern third of the country (Vojvodina and Mačva) while the easternmost tip of Serbia extends into the Wallachian Plain. Largest national park in the country is Đerdap in the eastern part of the country, on the border with Romania. It consists of the Djerdap gorge thru which the river Danube runs and its beautiful surroundings of almost untouched nature.

The villages of central Serbia nurture the tradition of good health, typical of this region. Central Serbia is often thought of as one big fruit and vegetable garden with a big product production annually. Chose among fishing, hunting, skiing, swimming or horse-riding, as they are the main activities you should try in this region.
