The village of Pedralva was an old coastal povoation in the district of Vila do Bispo, in the Algarve. It had reached a population of a hundred people in the past, but entering the XXIth century its inhabitants were less than a dozen. Having suffered heavy depopulation and degradation, the village went through a long process of renovation with the goal of bringing it back to life in a sensible connection between the village and nature. Nowadays, Pedralva is a beautiful example of renewed traditional housing in the beautiful Costa Vicentina landscape, offering lodging options, great typical gastronomy, and many sport and outdoor activities around the region.
