The Museum of Mercy of Porto is located in the historical center of Oporto, in Rua das Flores, in the building that was the headquarters of the institution from the middle of the 16th century until the year 2013.

Over the centuries, the building has undergone several changes, the most recent being its adaptation to museum functions.

The Museum presents itself with the dual objective of making known the history of the Holy House of Mercy of Porto and its institutional purposes, as well as publicizing its art collections, through the provision of a set of resources that translate the memory and The identity of this organization, projecting it into the future.

The visit to the Museum is also an opportunity to get to know the past and present of this area of ​​the city.

The museum is part of the Misericórdia Church, a 16th-century building that received a major intervention in the 18th century, led by Nicolau Nasoni, and the Gallery of Benefactors, an example of the city's iron and glass architecture.
