Jardim da Alameda João de Deus

This garden is situated in the east side of the city near Ria Formosa. It began to be built in the end of the 19th century, standing out as Faro’s greatest garden. It includes a small wood with diversified fauna and flora species. At the top of the garden, you will find an interesting building of Neo-Arab taste that used to be a former municipal slaughterhouse.
