
The Museum of the City of Lodz is located in one of the most magnificent buildings of the city, in the former palace of the Łódź factory of Israeli Poznan at ul. Garden. This residence is a showcase of Łódź and a testimony of its importance in the 19th century. The decor of the palace rooms is neostyle character, characteristic of the art of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, while the use of elements of Art Nouveau decoration.
Palace interiors are part of a museum exhibit that depicts the life of significant people, works of art and utility objects. The exhibitions show the history and culture of Łódź and its outstanding inhabitants, connected with music, literature, theater and art.
The Museum has three branches: the Sports and Tourism Department, the Department of Cultures and Traditions and the first in Poland Museum of the "Tube" Channel, where you can see exhibitions bringing the life of Lodz.
