
The Museum of Henryk Sienkiewicz in Wola Okrzejska was established in 1966 in the court building, where on 5 May 1846 a future Nobel was born. The 19th century manor house consisted of two parallel buildings, each with a similar architectural structure and size. Surrounded by a beautiful landscaped park in the English style from which we can admire the tree to this day. From the former architectural complex after the Second World War and the subsequent devastation to this day survived the court building, renovated from scratch in the years 1965 - 1966. Henryk Sienkiewicz's biographical library was opened on the 120th anniversary of the birth of the writer. He has a rich collection of family photographs, personal memorabilia by the writer as well as a unique book collection containing the first editions of Henryk Sienkiewicz's works. In addition, the Museum collects national and foreign editions of the writings of writers from all over the world. Impressive is a set of filming props from the films of the Noble, numismatic, as well as a collection of 19th century furniture. The permanent exhibition of the Museum is presented on the space of 6 exhibition halls. It shows the family traditions and relationships of Henryk Sienkiewicz with the Lublin region, the works of the writer, numerous paintings, drawings, prints and folk sculptures.
