Project pn. "Establishment of the Fortification and Arms Museum in Bastion III and Arsenał in Zamość" was implemented thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund under the Infrastructure and Environment Program Priority XI Culture and Cultural Heritage, Action 11.1 Protection and preservation of cultural heritage of supraregional significance. On the basis of the Museum of Colors and Arms, a museum was created, enriched and expanded with new exhibition areas, through the revamp and adaptation of the Powder Tower located on Bastion III, the arrangement and modernization of the interior of the Arsenal and the construction of a new exhibition space under the fortress wall at the curtain between the bastion and the Szczebrzeski Gate. The exhibition pavilion under the ramp included, among others, collections of weapons exposed before the project in the open air in the moat and on the elephant before Bastion III, which greatly improved the conditions of exposure and storage of the harvest. The placement of the auxiliary functions of the museum, such as workshops, magazines, cash registers, audiovisual rooms in the Powder Room and the building under the ramp, allowed to clean the interior of the Arsenal from secondary divisions and its proper exposure. The realization of the project allowed the unique gathering, compilation and description of various forms of fortress and military art in the country. The uniqueness of the project is also connected with its military architecture and the fortified landscape of Zamość. On the basis of the project, a virtual culture institution was created using existing collections. The uniqueness of the project is also due to the fact that there is no other museum in Poland that can trace the development of martial arts from the 16th century to the mid 20th century through the exposition of weapons and equipment of soldiers. All objects, Museum of Fortification and Arms Zamość Museum in Zamość, adapted for the disabled.
