The cinema - which was then called "Unity" - was filled to the brink, and its opening was accompanied by the play of the national anthem. Soon - 29.01.1946 - changed its name to Rialto. For the next 50 years, the cinema was uninterrupted while playing a role in Poznan, where it was possible to see both novelties, as well as films that have been on the screen for a long time, commercial films, but also those included in the cinema. After the year 2000 the number of American productions displayed here has decreased considerably, and the number of Polish and European films increased significantly. Since 2004, Rialto has been a member of the prestigious Europa Cinemas program and since 2005 has also been working on the Studio and Local Cinema Network - a special program created in Poland for cinemas promoting European and national art.
