A lighthouse with great views across the island of Vlieland. Just a short walk from the island’s only village!

• The island of Vlieland lies on the Wadden Sea. Reachable via the ferry, you will find just one town here by the name of Oost-Vlieland. For a picturesque view of the island and town from afar, walk on over to the lighthouse.
• The Vieland Lighthouse is just a 10 minute walk from the town’s centre. The walk itself is easy going and flat, with a small uphill part just before you reach the lighthouse. You won’t even work up a sweat, but you get a great reward!
• Climb up the top of the lighthouse and you’ll see views of the surrounding dunes, Oost-Vlieland, and the woods in the distance. There are a couple of benches around to take a break here too.
