What’s the best museum to visit in Amsterdam? Although there are plenty to choose from, the Tropenmuseum is definitely at the top of the list. Not only is it one of the biggest museums in the capital, but it's one of the prettiest buildings too. The museum holds over 300,000 items! You definitely can’t miss this place. But what exhibits will you see at the Tropenmuseum?

The collection has permanent exhibitions such as Things That Matter, which is about personal objects related to social matters, and What’s The Story, which looks at the history and development of the museum, as well as temporary exhibitions.

There is even a ‘Junior Museum’. In this part of the museum, children can get immersed in a different world, where the subjects come to life and the children learn about a different culture. The country or culture this experience is based on changes everytime.
