• Youngest Bike Businessman: Would you believe us if we told you the most popular bike tour company in the Hague was started by a 13-year-old? The Dutch Chamber of Commerce definitely didn’t at first! Dutch local Brent Meelhuysen made his dream a reality in 2017 when he started The Hague Bike Tours. Now Brent and 12 other young and enthusiastic guides are ready to lead you around the city, explaining the history, pointing out the best sights, and adding some Gen Z humour along the way!
• The tour is internationally known for its charming beginning, along with the relaxed guiding style that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Included with the booking comes a lively guide, a Gazelle bike (one of the leading bike brands in The Netherlands!), a bottle of mineral water, and a free pastry.
• The tours go every Saturday and Sunday and last 3 hours, covering city highlights like famous film settings and a tram stop that used to be one of the bloodiest execution sites in all of Holland! Group tours and private tours are easily arranged by emailing. Tip: Wear proper clothes! Holland can be pretty windy and rainy at times, so best to come prepared with a jacket.
