**Walk a donkey at the animal shelter in Zeist! **

• Around 20 donkeys have made their home at Stichting de Ezelsocieteit, a donkey rescue shelter. Many of the donkeys are in their twilight years, are disabled, or have been rescued from poor conditions.
• Donkey Walks: walk alongside one of the rescued donkeys through the meadow for around 2 hours. Group walks take place on the third Saturday of each month, but you can organise your own tailored walk any day by contacting them ahead of time. It's time for these donkeys to relax! So there are no donkey rides and dogs aren’t allowed.
• It’s still worth visiting Stichting de Ezelsocieteit even if you’re not doing the donkey walk. You can still say hi to the donkeys in the shelter and enjoy a look around the small shop. The rescue centre is also on the path near the forest, making it a good place to visit if you’re walking around Zeist.
