Make your way up 222 steps to the top of this Gothic 16th century church and be rewarded with a beautiful view of Deventer.

  • Climb the 200+ steps for one of the best views of Deventer. The church tower is only open during September and October on Saturdays. There is a small fee for entry, but we’d say it’s worth it. You’ll see a view of the city, main square, and river.
  • One of the highlights of the Deventer City Walk, Lebuinuskerk is one of those sights you’ll see wherever you are in the city centre. You can see the rest of the church for free, which while interesting we wouldn’t say it’s a must-visit in Deventer. The two church organs are worth a look if you do go in though.
  • Lebuinuskerk is located close to the river as well. Wander a little further out and you’ll find terraces right beside the river, perfect for a coffee break.
