**Whether it is winter or summer, this city beach is the perfect place to hang out. **
Along the water, there is a cosy beach created where you can hang out, have drinks or enjoy some good food. In summer this is an amazing hotspot to have a barbecue or a picnic, and where you can lay in the grass and enjoy the sun and the boats that go by.
Unfortunately, you can’t swim in the canal (even though that doesn't stop some locals from diving in), but there are showers if you want to cool down a bit. SOIA is a great place for all ages: there is even a playground for the kids.
Even in winter, you can spend your time here: with bonfires, blankets, games and pancakes this summer hotspot turns into a cosy winter garden. This is truly a local's year-round go-to spot in Utrecht!

- In summer, SOIA organises a party every Sunday, starting at 16:00. More information here.
- From April to September, you can enjoy yoga sessions every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30.
