**A popular 9km hiking trail through Heuvelrug national park with a panoramic view from the Kaap tower. **

• Begin your hiking journey just outside the city of Doorn. Trek through the Cape Forests (“Kaapse Bossen”) for 9 km across woodland. You’ll head up to the Kaap Tower for views across the forest.
• Beginner friendly, the Ruiterberg hike has become popular over the years for all trekkers making their way through the Utrechtse Heuvelrug national park. Bring your fluffy best friend along, dogs are welcome on this loop!
• A map and GPX file of the hiking trail can be found here. We recommend using them as the signage is not always clear, but we suppose there are worse places to get lost!
