Are you into art and monuments? In that case you should definitely visit the New Church (Nieuwe Kerk in Dutch), it's a union of art and history! Don't miss that!

It's a church of the highest order in case you need another reason to visit it. It was built in the 15th century in line with the style of French Gothic churches. The church has an amazing history: it even managed to avoid major damages after two huge fires in Amsterdam! Inevitably it fell down after another fire, two centuries later, but it's been then rebuilt and today it shines like it did centuries ago.

Did yoy know that the New Church is today the most important church not only in Amsterdam but in the whole country? In fact, since 1814 Dutch monarchs have been inaugurated here.

After having admired the exterior, go inside and take a look at the stunning altar and the arched nave... A true treat for the eyes.
