Learn about the mind in an interactive way at the Museum of the Spirit.

The mind is something very complexly fascinating: it is something philosophers, scientists and artists have been trying to get a grip on for ages. At the Museum of the Spirit you will get familiar with different views on the mind throughout the centuries, the history of psychiatry and much more.

Not just does the museum teach you about the mind through old therapeutic objects, but they also have a collection that contains 20,000 images, a historical library with 7,000 titles and a media library 750 tapes and films.

Since it is a foundation, the museum has built up a collection of 1700 works of art by 120 outsider artists. The collection includes a number of important works by artist Willem van Genk.
