An old post office now serves as a library.

This building at the square Neude, was opened in 1924. It served as a post office until 2011 and was inspired by a post office in Rotterdam. It was built in the architectural style of Amsterdamse School, where there are a lot of bricks used.

When you enter the library, you get to the main hall, which was the part of the post office that the customers got to see most. It consists of a parabolic roof, constructed of bricks and glass and sculptures that represent the continents. In this beautiful hall you can sit down for a cup of coffee, to read a book or to study.

The library has four floors, with on the first floor the children's section. Here you can see Miffy’s grandmother, who has her own statue!
