Alpacas, deer, pigs and more animals roam around a picturesque pond - yep, you're still in the city!

Because this park is located outside of the city centre, it isn’t as crowded as Wilhelminapark, Griftpark and Park Lepelenburg, which is great because this park is beautiful.

When you walk into the park, you are usually greeted by some chickens that walk around. At the beginning, there is a big field surrounded by trees, where people sit, read, barbecue, picnic or where sports classes are given. For children, there is a big playground, and in summer there is even an ice cream truck that comes by.

The farm in the back of the park is beautiful to walk around: alpacas, deer, pigs and more animals walk around in a big field with a pond. There is even a part where there are bunnies and special birds that you can admire.

Apart from the children being able to play on the playground, admiring the animals and the big field that the park has, it is perfect if you want to go for a stroll. The winding paths accompanied by many trees, a hill, a pond and a fountain make it perfect for a quiet, relaxing walk, or for a run if you are in a sporty mood.

Tips and Tricks

  • With nice weather, bring a blanket and get some food and drinks at one of the supermarkets in the street. There are also some deckchairs located in the field.
  • If you would rather sit in a place that is more quiet and shaded, walk past the Restaurant Juliana and follow the path. You will see a little square with some benches, but before that, there is a field, covered in trees, where you can enjoy the silence.

Getting there

  • By bike: from Utrecht Central Station it is a 10 minute bike ride.
  • By bus: line 3 (stop: Sweder van Zuylenweg)
