The Haarzuilens estate is located on the edge of the city of Utrecht. It isn't one building but rather a huge plot of land that contains multiple historical beauties. You walk through an area where the swamp was developed about a thousand years ago - teleporting you back into a time that many locals has long since forgotten.

But there's still much significance that is evoked. These places have been inhabited since the Iron Age: the meadows here have been grazed and hayed for centuries. The river has deposited fertile soil, which means higher ridges have been created.

The estate is beautiful to walk or cycle around. You will come across farms, villages, meadows, animals and even the famous castle De Haar.
