Dutch Ice Sculpting Festival

Ice, ice, baby! This winter festival gathers the world’s best ice sculptures - grab a warm jacket and prepare to be amazed!

• How much ice is enough to create an ice sculpture festival? Apparently 550,000 kilos of ice and snow! Each year the world’s best ice sculpture artists join in Zwolle for a magical winter wonderland of art pieces. Believe it or not, some of the ice sculptures can reach up to 6 meters high!
• This year’s theme is “What a Wonderful World,” and visitors are invited to join in the large ice hall in Zwolle to witness the masterpieces created to fit the theme. Let your imagination run wild, and take in the incredible talent created from just ice. To avoid long queues, time slots will be available to book for selected times and dates.
• Need to warm up? The festival will have winter drinks and snacks available at the ice bar - stock up in the festival food court on hot chocolate, apple strudel, Dutch sausages, and of course mulled wine.
